L-I-S-T-E-N to YOU!

How many times in your life have you failed to listen to you? You know, those times when you’ve thought about doing something that seemed right for you…and sure enough you’ve been persuaded that “you can’t”, “you shouldn’t” or that “it’s impossible”, “unrealistic” or “unobtainable”? Usually by well meaning people in your life [usually but not always] who are looking out for your well being and want to protect you from disappointment or the pain of possible failure….

Well as much as we may appreciate this concern and protection, ultimately the cumulative effect is that we are unwilling trust ourselves: we become averse to making a decision and taking a chance because we are unsure of the validity of our decisions…self doubt becomes a habit…and like all habits it can be a hard one to break.

Remember that only you can live your life…other people’s assumptions, perceptions and mental models are based on their experiences, fears etc…and belong to them. Ultimately the more you trust yourself, the stronger and more empowered you become…the loudest voice in your head should be yours!
Start today with little steps: each little step is liberating and ultimately……leads to a bigger one. The more you listen to you and explore your possibilities the greater they become…
